| This page explains:
Prayer is the the most essential ingredient of any Christian's life! Without it, we're on our own, no matter how large the crowd around us. After all, how can we expect to have a relationship with someone if we don't talk to them or hear what they have to say? It's just like that with God. He wants to hear us and longs to reply...any time...any place...any situation. No issue is too large for the God who created this universe. No issue is too small for the God who knows every hair on our heads. And the incredible thing is that God has made us a solemn promise: Every single prayer will be heard and every single prayer will be answered. Sometimes we may have to wait for that answer. Sometimes we may not get the answer we expect, want or hope for. But sure as night follows day, the answer will come and that answer will be whatever is best for us. We may not understand it, but we need to listen well and always trust the God who knows exactly what he's doing! There's no mystery to praying either - no need for flowery words or fancy ritual. God takes us as we are. All we have to do is close our eyes, open our hearts and tap in to the power of prayer...our hot-line to God!
The Prayer Team Prayer is the foundation on which our church and lives are built...and there is never a need too unimportant to take to God in prayer. Our prayer team are available to pray with people after every morning service at St. Andrew's. From time to time, we also hold evening services that include anointing with oil and prayer for healing. Within the prayer team we have members trained in Christian listening by the Acorn Christian Trust. They are available to offer a supportive and sympathetic ear, although this is a listening, rather than counselling ministry. "Christian healing is Jesus meeting you at your point of need" Bishop Morris Maddocks If you have a need and would like us to pray with you, please approach a member of the prayer team after any service. They all wear badges and will gladly help you bring any issue to the loving God who wants to carry your burden. Alternatively, you can use our on-line prayer link... If you would like our prayer team to pray for you, just click on this button to send us an e-mail. Tell us how we can help and we'll be very happy to support you through prayer. Don't forget that we can also provide other kinds of support, so please feel free to ask....
