Drama

On the first Sunday of each month we have a Family Service, in which we incorporate some sort of  drama. Wherever possible the aim of the drama is to present a contemporary parable, picking up the theme of the service and showing that the gospel is as relevant and applicable to modern life as it was in Jesus’ day.

As we have a good number of children in our congregation, we  try to use situations which children can relate to, but which are also relevant to adults. Both adults and the young people’s groups take part in the dramas and we aim to make them fun as well as carrying a serious message.

We also have the occasional longer dramas on special occasions or when a group with particular interests has been inspired to prepare one. For some years now we have arranged a drama for Christmas Eve in the Christmas Cracker service.
